This order is compact, but still includes all of our most popular cuts! An 1/8th order would last a family of 4 for approx. 2-3 months, and a family of 2 for 4-6 months! This order could fit in the freezer section of a standard fridge. ​

What's included...
1/8 orders come with a pre-selected list of cuts, to ensure an equal mix of front and hind meat. We have listed an approx. amount you will receive of each cut based off of our average order size. Amounts will vary based on the size of each animal and package sizes:

Size & Weight...
Average hanging weight is approx. 75 lbs (hanging weight is the weight of the carcass after initial slaughter once the hide, organs, head and feet have been removed. This weight still includes the trim, which is the fat and bones). This is the weight used to calculate the price/lb for the meat and the butchering fees. This is typical for farm direct ordering.
Average packaged weight is approx. 45 lbs (this is the amount that will end up in your freezer once the order has been trimmed, cut and wrapped)
Deposit & Payment
We require a $100 deposit to pre-order. Balance is not due until order pick up/delivery. Deposits are refundable up to 30 days prior to your estimated “ready” date.
You will be provided with one final invoice prior to picking up your order, which will include both the cost for the beef and the butcher fees (this applies to eighth orders only).
We accept e-transfer (hansenbeef@outlook.com) or cash.
Price Breakdown...
Approximate all-in price is $530.00, including butcher fees.
The final price is based on the weight of the carcass, which can vary from animal to animal. However, any fluctuation in the final price will directly reflect the amount of beef you will end up with.
Breakdown:
Beef Cost (Hansen Beef): $5.65/lb (no GST)
*Butcher Fees (Country Quality Meats): $1.04/lb, plus additional butcher fees for slaughter, cooling, recycling of approx. $25 (plus GST)

Pricing Example on an average 75 lb carcass weight:
Hansen Beef Cost: 75 lbs x $5.65 = $423.75
Butcher’s Fee: 75 lbs x $1.04 = $78 + additional fees of ~ $25 & gst = $108.15
Total cost = ~$531.90
Pick Up & Delivery...
Pick up is available in Sherwood Park or at Country Quality Meats (Bon Accord, AB) at no charge (applies to 1/8 orders only). Delivery is available within the Edmonton & area for a $25.00 fee.
