PLACE your order, pay your DEPOSIT & choose SPECIALTY CUTS.


Deposit:

We require a $100 deposit, which can be sent via e-transfer to: hansenbeef@outlook.com. Your order is confirmed upon receipt of your deposit. The balance is not due until order pick up/delivery. Deposits are refundable up to 30 days prior to your estimated “ready” date. 
 

Specialty Cuts, Bones & Organs

The order form will ask if you would like any bones and/or organs with your order (no extra charge). It will also ask if you would like to add any Specialty Items. These items are available for an extra cost. 15 lb min order for each item. Just a heads up, specialty items are made with the ground beef from your order, which will leave your quarter order with little to no ground beef. Because of this, quarter orders are usually limited to 1 specialty item per order:
 

  • Garlic Sausage: $4/lb

  • Pepperoni: $4.50/lb

  • Smokies (regular): $4/lb

  • Smokies (cheese): $4.50/lb

  • Smokies (jalapeno & cheese): $4.50/lb

  • Frying Sausage (regular or Italian): $4/lb

  • Jerky: $7.50/lb

  • Hamburger Patties: $25/box (per 10 lb box. Seasoned)

  • Vacuum seal packaging: $0.50/lb (we recommend butcher paper)

  • Pork is added to sausage, pepperoni and smokies (approx. 30%, lean), at $2.50/lb.

Prepare your freezer!

Average hanging weight of this order is approx. 150 lbs (hanging weight is the weight of the carcass after initial slaughter once the hide, organs, head and feet have been removed). Average packaged weight is approx. 90 lbs (this is the amount that will end up in your freezer once the order has been trimmed, cut and wrapped). 

This is an example of a quarter order in a 17 cu ft freezer.

Pay your final invoice.

The approximate all-in cost is $1,100, butcher fees included.
Your final total depends on the  weight of the animal, which naturally varies. Any change in price simply reflects how much beef you receive — more weight, more beef, higher total; less weight, less beef, lower total.

We use the hanging weight to calculate both the price per pound and the butchering charges. This is the standard method for direct-from-farm beef orders.

Price Breakdown

Beef Cost: $6.00/lb — GST exempt
+

Butcher Fees (Country Quality Meats): *$1.04/lb + approximately $51 in additional charges (slaughter, cooling, recycling) & GST. *Butcher fees are set by Country Quality Meats and can change without notice. 

Pricing Example (Based on a 150 lb Hanging Weight)

Beef Invoice:
150 lbs × $6.00/lb = $900

Butcher Fees:
150 lbs × $1.04/lb = $156
+ Additional slaughter/disposal fees (approx.) = $51
GST = $10.35
Total Butcher Fees: $217.35

Estimated All-in Total: $1,117.35

Invoice

You will be provided with your final invoice 1-2 weeks prior to your order's scheduled "ready" date. If you are picking up your order, we will provide you with the invoice for the beef and the butcher will provide you with their own invoice for the butcher fees, which are paid separately. If your order is being delivered, we will provide you with a combined invoice for both fees prior to delivery.

Pick up or delivery. 

​Pick up is available from Country Quality Meats (Bon Accord, AB) at no charge. The butcher will call you when your order is ready. Delivery is available within Edmonton & area for a fee of $50.00.
