QUARTER BULK BEEF 

We have listed an approx. amount you will receive of each cut based off of our average order size. Amounts will vary slightly on actual order:

  (approx. 4 packages of 2, 5 lbs total)

• Top Sirloin Steak
  (approx. 2 packages of 2, 4 lbs total)

• Rib Steak

  (approx. 3 packages, 7.5 lbs total)

• Sirloin Tip Roast
  (approx. 1 roast, 3.5 lbs total)

• Cross Rib Roast
  (approx. 1 roast, 4 lbs total)

• Chuck Roast
  (approx. 2 roasts, 9 lbs total)

• Round Roast
  (approx. 2 roasts, 7 lbs total)

• Stew Meat
  (approx. 3 packages, 6 lbs total)

• Ground Beef
  (approx. 22 packages, 33 lbs total)

Standard packaging includes: 

• Roasts - 3-4 lbs each

• Steaks - 3/4” thick, 2 per package

• Ground Beef - 1.5 lb packages, lean

• Butcher Paper

These items are available for an extra cost. 15 lb min order for each item. Just a heads up, specialty items are made with the ground beef from your order, which will leave your quarter order with little to no ground beef. Because of this, quarter orders are usually limited to 1 specialty item per order:
 

• Garlic Sausage: $4/lb

• Pepperoni: $4.50/lb

• Smokies (regular): $4/lb

• Smokies (cheese): $4.50/lb

• Smokies (jalapeno & cheese): $4.50/lb

• Frying Sausage (regular or Italian): $4/lb

• Jerky: $7.50/lb

• Hamburger Patties: $25/box (per 10 lb box. Seasoned)

• Vacuum seal packaging: $0.50/lb (we recommend butcher paper)

• Pork is added to sausage, pepperoni and smokies (approx. 30%, lean), at $2.50/lb.

Average hanging weight is approx. 150 lbs (hanging weight is the weight of the carcass after initial slaughter once the hide, organs, head and feet have been removed. This weight still includes the trim, which is the fat and bones). This is the weight used to calculate the price/lb for the meat and the butchering fees. This is typical for farm direct ordering.
Average packaged weight is approx. 90 lbs (this is the amount that will end up in your freezer once the order has been trimmed, cut and wrapped).

We require a $100 deposit to pre-order. Balance is not due until order pick up/delivery. Deposits are refundable up to 30 days prior to your estimated “ready” date. 

The total cost will be split into two separate invoices: one from Hansen Beef (prior to pick up) and one from Country Quality Meats (upon pick up). However, if you have requested delivery, we will provide you with a combined invoice upon delivery.

We accept e-transfer (hansenbeef@outlook.com), cheque or cash.

Approximate all-in price is $1100, including butcher fees. The final price is based on the weight of the carcass, which can vary from animal to animal. However, any fluctuation in the final price will directly reflect the amount of beef you will end up with.
 

Breakdown:
Beef Cost (Hansen Beef): $6.00/lb (no GST)
Butcher Fees (Country Quality Meats): $1.04/lb, plus additional butcher fees for slaughter, cooling, recycling of approx. $51 (plus GST)

Pricing Example on an average 150 lb carcass weight:
Hansen Beef Cost: 150 lbs x $6.00 = $900
Butcher’s Fee: 150 lbs x $1.04 = $156 + additional fees of ~ $51 & GST = $217.35

Total cost = ~$1117.35

​Pick up is available from Country Quality Meats (Bon Accord, AB) at no charge. Delivery and pick up is available within the Edmonton & area for a fee of $50.00.
